I don't claim to be educated or particularly intelligent, but I do enjoy thinking about the way things are and reflecting on what I learn and observe.
To that end I would like to present some things that strike me as odd about the intelligent design conversation.
Generally when we want to prove something we mean prove it scientifically. In order to prove that there is no actual intelligent design (ID) working in the natural world, then would need use science to do that. This would mean some type of experiment or observation that generates unambiguous and verifiable data. If that data could then be shown to be completely devoid of the influences of ID, then it would be reasonable to conclude that ID isn't actually real. In that case things just appear designed but aren't.
That seems to create a dilemma in my mind. How does an intelligent person design something that is not influenced by intelligence?
I'm sure that people smarter than me can show me where I am wrong. I ask you to leave a comment below poking holes in my idea so that I can better understand this. THANKS!
I believe that no matter what worldview we espouse we should understand what we believe any why. I hope to show others that the Christian worldview is not only accurate but true. If not, I hope they will be clear on why they reject it.
