The Review
This book is 278 pages and the second in a trilogy that includes Cold-case Christianity and Forensic Faith. What makes this trilogy so unique is that the material covered is from the perspective of a seasoned cold-case homicide detective and former atheist. J. Warner Wallace not only brings a fresh spin to entry level Christian Apologetics but also engages his reader in a way that helps them to think clearly about how they are processing the information that is being presented.
This book focuses on teleological case-making (cosmological and biological apologetic arguments), the moral argument, consciousness, and free-will. This book directly confronts atheism, secularism, and humanism by presenting those arguments that undermine materialism, darwinian evolution, social darwinism. Even though this book is written at an entry-level it does not hesitate to put on the floaties and head right into the deep end.
The writing of this book is excellent. While the material is defiantly entry-level I would highly encourage more advanced apologists and teachers to read this book since it is a treasure trove of colorful examples and ways to explain concepts. Additionally, the illustrations are wonderful. The book is filled with simple line drawings that do an excellent job of conveying and accenting the information being presented.
God's Crime Scene is a book a highly recommend for your bookshelf...along with its sister books Cold-case Christianity and Forensic Faith.
